We are very excited to add this lovely TAN Featherweight 221J to the site.  Aside from a few cosmetic differences, the Tan Featherweight machines are mechanically identical to Black Featherweight machines (whereas the White Featherweights are a little bit different internally)  Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled, rest assured - this Featherweight 221J will be ready to sew right out of the case.  Powerful original 110v motor with a quiet, smooth stitch.  As with all machines purchased from April 1930’s, this will be accompanied with a Guarantee Certificate.  Serial number JE 154*** indicates an original production commission year of 1961.

What a package you will receive!  Many photos to admire the beauty....










Cosmetic differences:  Paint color is tan; Light Housing has retro-styling as does the Face Plate; Bobbin Winder is shaped differently, Stitch Regulator knob is tan plastic; No Bed Decals.  Mechanically, TAN Featherweights are identical to Black Featherweights.
















Excellent condition with minimal wear to the surface.  Lighter color paints always show flaws sooner than darker colors, so you can see that this one has really been well taken care of. 

Minimal pin and other markings.  I can’t help but wonder what special garments were sewn.



Light Housing has had one tiny touch-up of paint to the very edge tip as you can see in the photo below.





The original Instruction Manual is titled for a 221K5, but it is legitimately for this machine as indicated by the cosmetic differences in the illustrations of the Tan Featherweight.  This is indeed the manual that came with the machine into the shoppe.








Back section has a few more wear marks as seen in the photo above.







Case is in excellent condition.  Case includes the top side tray for holding the box of attachments, or other little fiddlies.
