April 1930's - A Sewing Shoppe...Sewing ~ Reminiscing of Yesterday

Sewing Reminisce

Dear Friends of the Needle,

....We are friends because we all know one thing in common, that is, the joy of the needle, that little one-eyed help-meet, that will act as a vent for all those artistic feelings that demand outlet and expression in the form of making and doing things....

My special message to you is - be a Singer Sewer and your troubles are o'er.  You can have pretty, smart frocks, dainty underwear and house-linen, and little Jack and Mary can be well and comfortably dressed without encroaching too much on the family exchequer.

Your Stitchery Friend,

April

Do you have a Singer Sewing Story to tell?  Whether it be about a Featherweight 221 or 222 or any other Sewing Machine - I would be honored to post it here for others to reminisce ... Perhaps a fond memory, a sentimental sewing place in time with your mother or grandmother?  Or perhaps, you have just a funny story to share!

If you would just like to read other Stitchery Friends’ stories, that is perfectly okay, too!

Please do not feel shy - it is by remembering that we enjoy our present-day sewing with even more fondness.  E-mail your story directly to me and I will post it to the Sewing Reminise page.
