I have enjoyed my little treasure for so long and knowing that you are another Singer Collector, it brings me much joy in offering you this lovely antique find. I realize I probably have several "favorite" collectibles, but these truly are one of them. I don't know why this tool intrigues me so much, really... perhaps, the way it rests in my hand with a unique weightedness... or perhaps, it's the wonder of who owned and used it many, many years ago... or perhaps, it's because I know they were never marketed on our own soil, so the possibility of finding them is very difficult, to say the least...

Opening pen-knife in style, this antique Singer tool can be used for all of your marking / tracing needs.

Do you know what the really sharp-pointed tracing wheels are for?  When marking a pattern, it isn’t necessary to use tracing paper if you are going to immediately sew.  The points leave a tiny little impression on the fabric.  I really liked this the last time I sewed... prevented me from having to launder the garment right away just to wash the markings out.

... or perhaps, because it is the one thing my daughter likes to play with by my side...rolling it back and forth on vintage fabric - all the while pretending she is sewing "just like mama" in her sweet little mind. Whatever it may be, I have just adored having one and know you will, too.
